This blog is dedicated to the legal and societal examination of Nazi perpetrators from Hall in Tyrol. The focus is on court proceedings, biographical research, and the question of how guilt and responsibility were addressed after 1945. The starting point is the 1947 trial of a Nazi doctor—an example of the often belated or incomplete prosecution of Nazi-era crimes.
As historical research continues to yield new findings, further cases may be added in the future. Heinrich Andergassen, for instance, has now been included in the presentation of these court cases. The aim is to document local Nazi history objectively and to contribute to the discussion on remembrance and justice.
