It describes the experiences of prisoners in the Dachau concentration camp. The focus is on the extreme living conditions: hunger, forced labor, violence by guards, and the constant fear of death. Prisoners were systematically dehumanized and stripped of their dignity. At the same time, eyewitness accounts show that some prisoners tried to support each other or maintain inner resistance in order to survive. The article highlights the importance of such testimonies for historical awareness and as a reminder never to forget the crimes of the Nazi era.
