Born: December 7, 1897, in Steinhaus, Ahrntal (South Tyrol).
Military Service in World War I: From 1917, served as a Kaiserjäger (imperial rifleman) on the southern front (Pasubio), wounded in action.
Austrian Federal Army: Served until 1931, afterward worked as a municipal police officer in Hall in Tirol.
Resistance Against Nazism: From 1932, a determined opponent of the Nazi movement, he upheld public order until March 1938.
Arrest & Imprisonment in a Concentration Camp: On March 12, 1938, arrested by the SA/SS, brutally abused, and deported to Dachau concentration camp (May 1938 – March 1939).
World War II: Conscripted in 1940, fought in Russia (Caucasus/Crimea) and Strasbourg.
Missing since: November 23, 1944, after the Allied capture of Strasbourg.
Friedrich Corazza remained a man of principle to the end, resisting tyranny—his legacy lives on.
